Installation Guide
Bushing Grease Instructions
Complete instructions for proper installation and greasing of polyurethane suspension bushings.
IMPORTANT: Correct Grease Type
✓ MUST use a Lithium or Silicon based grease when fitting or servicing polyurethane bushings.
✗ DO NOT use Wheel bearing or Rubber grease on our supplied polyurethane bushings.
⚠️ Failure to use correct grease or incorrectly cleaned fitment area will void warranty.
Pre-Installation Preparation
Before fitment of polyurethane bushings, care must be taken to:
- Remove any surface rust/scale from mating surfaces
- Remove sharp edges from mounting points
- Clean and remove all remnants of original rubber or polyurethane bushings
- Clean or replace damaged/rusted shackle pins and bolts when required
Contributing Factors to Noise Complaints
Common issues that can cause noise problems with polyurethane bushings:
- •Surface mating areas have not been thoroughly cleaned
- •Damaged/Rusted shackle pins/bolts not being cleaned properly or replaced when required
- •Retro fitment of bushing to non-catalogued positions
- •Manufacturer not designing their bushings to correct tolerances or using cheap raw materials for manufacture
- •Incorrect or not enough correct grease being applied
